Shopify SEO Services That Unlock Organic Sales
Shopify makes selling easy. We make ranking easy too — by fixing its built-in SEO limits and optimizing collections, products and speed.
Our Shopify SEO services help merchants get more organic traffic and revenue from a platform that is excellent for selling but comes with SEO quirks out of the box.
Shopify's fixed URL structure, duplicate product URLs through collections, app-heavy themes and limited control over some technical settings can quietly hold stores back. None of these are deal-breakers — they just need to be handled properly.
We work within Shopify and Shopify Plus every day, optimizing themes, collections, product pages and structured data without breaking your store or overloading it with apps.
Is Shopify good for SEO?
Shopify is good for SEO when configured properly. It offers solid hosting, mobile themes and basic controls, but has limitations like fixed URL prefixes, duplicate product paths and app-related speed issues. Professional Shopify SEO services address these limits and optimize collections, products and content to compete.

Category-page SEO that doubled an outdoor retailer's organic revenue
- Client
- Independent outdoor gear retailer on Shopify

- Filter combinations had created more than 40,000 indexable URLs, diluting crawl budget and producing thousands of near-duplicate pages. Meanwhile, the store's most profitable categories sat on page two behind big-box competitors.
- Result
- Fixed faceted-navigation bloat, rewrote 140 category pages around buyer intent and added comparison content that converted researchers into customers.

Shopify's URL structure and duplicate content
Shopify requires fixed prefixes such as /collections/ and /products/, and many themes link to products through collection paths (for example, /collections/shoes/products/trail-runner). That creates multiple URLs for the same product.
Shopify adds canonical tags pointing to the main product URL, but internal links to duplicate paths still dilute signals and waste crawling. We update theme templates so internal links use the canonical product URL, keeping your site clean without fighting the platform.
Apps, themes and site speed
Every Shopify app can add scripts, styles and requests to your store, and many leave code behind even after uninstalling. Over time, this slows pages and hurts both rankings and conversions.
We audit every installed app and theme snippet, remove leftovers, replace heavy apps with lighter alternatives or native features where possible, and optimize how remaining scripts load.

FAQ
Shopify SEO questions, answered
Can I change Shopify's URL structure?
No. Shopify's /products/ and /collections/ prefixes are fixed. They don't prevent ranking, and we focus on what you can control: canonical internal links, page content, speed and structured data.
Do I need an SEO app for Shopify?
Usually not. Many SEO apps duplicate features Shopify already has or add unnecessary code. We implement most improvements directly in the theme.
Is Shopify Plus better for SEO?
Shopify Plus offers more checkout customization and scripts, but core SEO capabilities are similar. Plus is chosen for business needs, not SEO alone.
Can you migrate my store to Shopify without losing rankings?
Yes. We map every URL, set up redirects in Shopify, migrate metadata and content, and monitor rankings and errors closely after launch.
How do you handle product variants?
Variants usually live on one product URL with selectable options. Where variants have distinct search demand, such as color names, we may create separate optimized products or collections.
Do you work with Shopify Markets for international stores?
Yes. We configure markets, subfolders or domains, hreflang and localized content so international customers see the right version of your store.
